Yes, however, we request that you focus on the event so you get the most out of it and stay in the moment. There will be an opportunity for pictures later.

Depending on weather conditions, rain, snow, or even heavy dew can make the ground and bridges slippery for early sessions. We prefer that you are comfortable for the session rather than having wet feet.

We provide all the tools for the workshop, including a journal, herbal bug spray, etc. Snacks are provided for 4-hour sessions, and lunch is included. We will inquire about allergies upon registration.

Unfortunately yes – we are a working farm with other farms around us, so there is lots of bugs with seasonal variation. Lets discuss your situation and try to make some accommodations for you, however we do need to be aware if you are at risk. We do have a first aid kit on site.

We recommend that you bring water to stay hydrated. Should you forget, we can provide water.

Yes, all our herd animals are vaccinated, and their details are posted within the studio.

Horses groom each other with their teeth – it is lovely experience to watch. For the most part these horses will not try to groom strangers. However some of the younger animals will get playful and can try to nip, especially at shoe laces or boots. In our orientation we talk about how to recognize this before it happens and how to correct the behaviour. We will make all attempts to intervene when we see this behaviour. It is also very important not to feed the animals.

Our facility is a working farm, which means there is manure, our grounds are not perfectly manicured, and you will not see flower beds. Our animals roam the property and eat whatever interests them. Our land is in a natural state, which is the best for learning about nature. The terrain is rough and unpredictable from tiny hooves.

Yes, in addition to our Souvenir shop, where all proceeds go to the Sanctuary, you can sponsor an animal and even buy their dinner, for example. As we get more established, we will run special donation drives to help the herd.

Our business model is to provide workshops that include the Sanctuary. If you contact us with further details, we may be able to arrange something, but we are not a petting zoo

Yes, we can adapt to other locations. However, the Tiny Hearts Sanctuary does not travel.

Yes, we can change the temperature; however, we ask that you dress in layers due to everyone’s different comfort zones.

If a cancellation is initiated by Connections With Nature, you will receive a full refund.
If a customer needs to cancel, we require at least 48 hours’ notice, as we keep our workshop groups intentionally small and each spot matters. In these cases, the deposit is non-refundable, but any remaining balance paid will be refunded.

Only during serious weather situations do we cancel. If it is raining, within reason, we continue the experience. We have precautions to help keep you from getting wet, but the rain itself is a magical experience in forest therapy. Disposable rain ponchos are available for sale in the Souvenir shop.

In the event of winter blizzards or severe rainstorms, we will cancel the event to avoid putting people at risk. However, we will not cancel for rain or snow, which is typical weather. The studio is 4-season, and we can arrange our schedule to accommodate the weather conditions.
