Reconnect. Restore. Rediscover—Through Nature
Discover the Healing Power of Connections With Nature
Welcome to Connections With Nature, a peaceful sanctuary where animals, forests, and flowing rivers come together to support your healing journey. Nestled on 4.5 tranquil acres, our space offers a unique opportunity to unplug from the world and reconnect with yourself.
Walk among wildflower meadows. Cross hand-built bridges. Feel the quiet magic of the Carolinian forest.
Here, you’ll meet the Tiny Hearts Sanctuary herd—miniature horses, micro donkeys, and a curious Norwegian goat—who roam freely and choose their own connections. Through thoughtful workshops and heartfelt animal encounters, you’ll rediscover joy, wonder, and inner peace.
“The healing power
of nature is universally
felt. Connecting with the outdoors
affects people’s minds, bodies, and
spirits in a multitude of ways.”
— Dr. Lynda

Resiliency Workshops
Understanding stress is very important before you can learn how to be resilient.
This 3-part series looks at the building blocks of resiliency, and although we would love you to take all three sessions, you can pick and choose.
Tiny Hearts Sanctuary
At Tiny Hearts Sanctuary, every small step from our herd leaves a big imprint on the heart.
Our gentle herd of rescued miniature horses, micro donkeys, and a Nigerian goat invites you into their peaceful world where healing happens naturally, and calmness becomes second nature.
Meet the Herd
Mini Horses, Micro Donkeys, and a Norwegian Goat
Meet our animal family of six miniature horses, two micro donkeys, and an inquisitive Norwegian goat. These gentle souls move freely across the sanctuary and often choose which visitors to spend time with.
Reflections from the Sanctuary
Here’s what past visitors have shared after their time at the sanctuary.
“I enjoyed this and feel like I had so much growth today and so many messages.”
“This was 100% better than I ever could imagine!”
“Thought provoking session, excellent!”

When we think about stress, we think bad – tired, irritated, fearful. We rarely think about stress as a good thing, even essential. Most people need an edge of energy that comes with working hard to meet challenges and overcome obstacles. Stress can motivate and focus our efforts. When immersed in too much stress, it is difficult to 'see the forest for the trees".
This workshop intends to 'peel back those layers' so you can take control, create a plan to adapt, change, and/or reframe the stress.
The session is a deep dive into each person's source of stress and understanding how to break free from negativity. We will be utilizing the Stress Profile tool. Each participant will learn grounding, orienting, and resourcing techniques to become resilient with their own personal plan.
Time: 2.5 hr session - includes snacks.
