What to Bring for Your Visit
We want your time at Tiny Hearts Sanctuary to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Here’s how to prepare for your visit with our herd:
Comfortable, closed-toe shoes or boots – You’ll be walking on grass, dirt, uneven ground, and mud if the ground is wet or damp.
Weather-appropriate clothing – Dress in layers for comfort in changing temperatures, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty or “furry”.
Hat & sunscreen – Much of your time may be outdoors in the sun.
Reusable water bottle – Staying hydrated helps you enjoy your time with the herd.
An open heart and calm spirit – The animals respond best when you’re relaxed and present.
Please do not bring: outside food for the animals, large bags, bug spray, or anything that could startle the herd. A safe herbal bug repellent spray will be provided when needed.
Accessibility Info
We strive to make Tiny Hearts Sanctuary a welcoming place for everyone. Please note that our sanctuary is located on a working farm, and many areas include grass, gravel, mud, and uneven ground. While we do not have paved walkways throughout the property, we will do our best to accommodate visitors with mobility needs wherever possible.
If you have specific accessibility requirements, please get in touch with us before your visit so we can discuss how to make your time here comfortable and safe. We will make every effort to try to accommodate by adjusting activities to suit individual needs as best we can.
Note: We are an active farm, so terrain, noises, and the behaviour of animals can be unpredictable. We also cannot be responsible for neighbours who may be using equipment or having bonfires during our sessions. We will make every effort to ensure your experience is great; however, we need to express that some things are out of our control.
The workshops will continue during all weather except in exceptional circumstances – blizzards, hurricanes, etc. Forest therapy has a special feeling when it is raining, and we strive to offer as much protection as possible.
